A Winters Dream
Silently the snow falls down
In crystal, lace-like flakes
And all along the cold, hard ground
A fluffy blanket makes.
It's like a virgin, pure and white
It makes the whole world clean
To a child it's sheer delight
For us, a time to dream.
Of sitting by the fire
Hot cocoa in our hand
Of walking all alone we two
Through winters wonderland.
To gather 'round the Christmas tree
Its lights upon us beam
To be right here, all safe and warm
To dream a winters dream.
